It’s been an exciting and busy time for all in 2019, what with the continued increase in levels of employment (unemployment having fallen in 2019 for the 6th consecutive year), investment in recruitment at an all-time high, and the supply chain transformation in full swing for our clients, demand for skilled talent is relentless.
Add the continual rumbling of Brexit and a general election into the mix, and it’s fair to say it’s been a hectic time.
2019 has been a year of uncertainty, change and a year of disruption in Procurement and Supply Chain. So, what will 2020 bring? IR35 regulations will come into effect for private companies in April, automation, AI, technology and transformation will continue at pace and only those that look forward will be able to leap these hurdles cleanly and ahead of the competition.
Recruitment strategies are changing, but recruitment levels aren’t. Companies need to stand tall on shifting sands, and thus the War for Talent continues unabated. Available talent is becoming increasingly hard to secure, but staffing strategies are key and investment in recruitment is now more vital than ever.
So, while there are plenty of changes coming in 2020, Cast UK are here to help guide you through what is likely to be a thrilling ride. We enjoyed a best-ever year in 2019 and we are expecting more of the same in 2020.
