We would like to thank everyone that joined us for our Peak Planning Breakfast Networking Event last week at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

As a specialist Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement & Buying recruitment consultancy, we take a huge interest in our clients’ the key issues, and planning for the ‘peak period’ is one that always tops the list in the logistics & retail sectors.

The event presented a brilliant chance for everyone to take time out to share best practice with fellow logistics and supply chain professionals over breakfast. It was also a great opportunity for our clients to get together and discuss how they keep things running smoothly and meet tight schedules during this vital period.

We were lucky enough to hear from two experts in the Logistics and Supply Chain function; Melissa Wells, Supply Chain Director at The Brakes Group and David McIntosh, Organisational Development Manager at Arrow XL. Melissa and David talked about what the peak period looked like in businesses they have worked for, the impact that peak has on the wider business, and how to prepare for and manage the uplift in headcount.
