Cast UK's own recruitment predicts economic turnaround

The economic outlook has been creating a positive feeling throughout the nation, with the Bank of England and the OECD, among others, predicting continued growth. While similar predictions in early 2013 were met with cautious optimism, the feeling now is that they are much better founded, increasing the likelihood of concrete action in the corporate world, not least recruitment. Cast UK have been predicting this optimism for some time now, and have had to respond to a significant upswing in enquiries and recruitment opportunities by taking on staff themselves under their graduate scheme. In fact, since the beginning of the summer they’ve taken on no fewer than ten new employees. In alphabetical order, they are Ryan Albrighton, Eleanor Connor, Hugo Franklin, Liam Halliday, Madeline Hughes, Jordan Lloyd, Charlotte Mitchell, Carla Rossi, Dion West and Rachel Williams. Ryan joins the company after sales work in the USA and the UK after graduating from the University of Manchester. Transport expert Eleanor graduated with a BA(Hons) in business from MMU. Hugo proved his management nous while still at Leicester University, and Liam was equally busy during his recent stint at the University of Manchester, where he achieved a first-class honours in geography. Madeleine was one of Cast UK’s first graduates to arrive, and her media and fashion background have stood her in good stead. Jordan went into the customer-facing side of banking instead of taking the university route, while Charlotte finished her business degree and worked in software distribution before joining Cast UK. Multilingual Carla has lived, studied and worked in Montreal, Lancaster and Manchester and brings a wealth of business experience. Dion worked for Thomson Reuters after studying for his economics degree, and finally Rachel joined Cast UK after completing an Economics & international Politics degree at MMU. Cast UK’s MD Wayne Brophy commented: “we are very happy to have recruited a very high calibre of graduates to join our team to drive our business forward. Our graduate training scheme starts with learning to resource excellent candidates, moving on to cover sales and account management. I am already looking forward to 2014 and start the next intake.”
