Cast UK expands it's Graduate Scheme with a new recruit

After early successes in bringing graduates into the recruitment arena, Cast UK has taken a third person onto its graduate scheme. Hugo Franklin graduated from the University of Leicester with a BA(Hons) in Banking and Finance this year. His interest in transport and logistics led him to Cast UK's scheme. Hugo managed to gain an excellent degree whilst playing key roles in the sporting activities of university and sixth-form college. He was Sports President at Leicester University, in charge of allocating funds, dealing with team captains and organising campaigns and promotions. He was also Treasurer for University of Leicester Economics Society. At City of Bath College he was the Social Secretary, involved with planning events and parties for its 600 students. A keen lacrosse player, he coaches in the sport and has attained level one at refereeing it. Cast UK is a recruitment consultancy for the executive and managerial echelons of the logistics, supply chain and procurement industries. All their current consultants had the required experience in these sectors at managerial level to qualify for their posts, but the company's new graduate scheme gives younger people with proven ability the chance to work as researchers, with the aim of becoming fully fledged consultants. Wayne Brophy, Cast UK's founder and Group MD, is heavily involved with the graduate scheme and is excited about its potential. “The people we have taken on so far have been exceptional,” he said, “and Hugo continues this story. His extracurricular activities at university show he's clearly not the kind of person who likes to take things easy or rely on others to get the important stuff done. He's motivated, a self-starter and a person who has shown great attention to detail and trustworthiness. With qualities like those, I'm sure he's going to make a great consultant.”
