Cast UK to sponsor CILT Awards for second year running

Logistics, supply chain and procurement recruiters Cast UK have been named as the main sponsor of the North West CILT Awards ceremony for the second year running; they will be supplying administrative and web support for the event. The decision comes on the back of last year’s triumphant ceremony which was held at Cranage Hall in Knutsford. This year’s event will be held at the Midland Hotel in the heart of Manchester on 14 June 2013. The Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport (UK) is an organisation that represents and supports individuals from across the industry. It is part of a wider CILT network with a presence in more than 30 countries, all of whom aim for personal professional development and the improvement of the logistics and supply chain industry as a whole for its members. The awards ceremony recognises excellence in individuals’ pursuits of these ends. Cast UK is a recruitment consultancy that links clients that have logistics, supply chain and procurement requirements with suitable candidates at managerial and executive level. Their clients vary between companies whose sole business is in the transport and purchasing sectors and wider companies with dedicated transport departments. The company was founded and is staffed by recruitment consultants from these same backgrounds, most of whom are themselves CILT members. Managing Director for Cast UK Logistics, Gary Robinson, is excited about the forthcoming event. “Last year was inspirational,” he said. “All successful industries deserve to give themselves a pat on the back, and it’s a brilliant opportunity to put faces to names and to network; everyone comes away from these events with a few business cards – and some go home with a trophy. The Midland Hotel has an auspicious link with transport too: it’s where Messrs Rolls and Royce first met, so who knows where a chance meeting could lead?” For ongoing information on the event, stay in touch with Cast UK at www.castuk.com (@Cast_UK on Twitter) or CILT at ciltuk.org.uk.
