This year’s CIPS Annual Dinner is looking like being another great success, and Cast UK are playing their part by sponsoring the VIP drinks reception and the after-dinner casino. The event will take place on 13 March 2013 at the Hilton on Park Lane, London, where TV journalist and newsreader Huw Edwards will be the guest speaker.

The Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) is a UK-based organisation whose aim is to help individuals and bodies achieve excellence in procurement and supply management. To this end, they offer study opportunities and qualifications and share best practice techniques with their members. The body was founded in 1932 and was awarded its Royal Charter in 1992. The Annual Dinner is a black-tie event that celebrates the institute’s achievements over the past year.

Cast UK is a recruitment consultancy that operates exclusively within the fields of purchasing and supply chain at managerial and executive level. Working out of offices in Manchester, Birmingham and London, the company helps businesses throughout the UK and internationally with their employment needs. Cast UK’s policy of only employing consultants with a background in one of their core disciplines benefits both employers and candidates through enhanced understanding of the roles.

Wayne Brophy, founder and MD of Cast UK, is indebted to the CIPS organisation. “Purchasing and supply chain are our key disciplines,” he said, “so we’re deeply appreciative of the work done by CIPS – having a CIPS-accredited qualification on a CV is a huge advantage for a candidate.”

Speaking of the Annual Dinner, he commented: “Sponsoring this event is a fabulous opportunity to express our gratitude to this wonderful organisation, and we’re really looking forward to meeting the other members again. It’s always a brilliant night and we’re delighted to be involved.”
